Troubleshooting Lamp

Set Wall Switch to “ON”

Is Light Bulb Burned Out?

The light bulb could be burned out and that’s why the lamp won’t turn on.

Check If Plug is in Correct Socket

Obviously the lamp won’t turn on if it is unplugged. However you also need to know which socket (top or bottom) In the wall outlet works with the wall switch.

Tripped Circuit Breaker

Occasionally a circuit breaker in the electrical panel has “tripped” which prevents the wall outlet or wall switch from working.
What is the best action to take to determine if resetting the circuit breaker will solve the problem?

You have light! But since you reset all the breakers…you now have to reset all the devices in your house that are blinking on/off!
